The Soluscope 3 offers several different cycles depending on the users demands. These cycles vary in time because they require different processes during their execution. Program “1 Cleaning & 1 Disinfection” takes 20 minutes.
The operating temperature will vary depending on the products being used. For Glutaraldehyde the temperature is 45C, whilst with Peracetic Acid it is 40C. To facilitate the correct temperatures, Soluscope advises that a water connection close to 40C should feed the machine.
When the auto disinfection cycle is launched, a double dose of disinfectant is flushed for 55 minutes. If no reprocessing is planned, then the AER will continue to flush another round of disinfectant through every hour until the “Rinse” function is activated. Rinsing takes 7 minutes.
The Soluscope 3 provides both a hard copy and a data copy of its reprocessing cycle. The barcode reader ensures that each Endoscope is registered and readily identified, along with the Operator, Patient and even Doctor information. A thermal printer produces either a Long or Short ticket at the end of each cycle.
The data copy is produced via the Soluscope TRS which can be installed on the Series 3 machines. For more information about the TRS System please visit this link. www.soluscope-trs.com/trs/demo
Each Connectic serves an individual channel and helps to ensure that each has been properly cleaned and disinfected. It also serves the purpose of verification as each Connectic measures flow rate and pressure to identify any potential problems. Find out more by visiting this link.
The Soluscope 3 reprocessor is reliant on the dedicated chemistry because the machine and chemistry were designed and validated together. This means that using other chemistry will render the validation void and could potentially put the patient, endoscope or operator in serious danger.
The one-shot chemistry helps ensure two things. 1) That no potency is lost from one cycle to the next by diminished capacity. 2) Avoids the risk that cross contamination between several endoscopes could occur via the chemistry.
