A cycle step by step
| |
After the examination the endoscope has to be roughly cleaned, all channels flushed with water or cleaner, the suction and the biopsy channel brushed. Then it can be connected into the Soluscope with the specific connecting sets. Enter the program number, the endoscope number, press OK and... come back 15min later.
During the whole cycle the endoscope is completely immersed and the channels are flushed separately with two sets of pumps: one for the large channels and one for the small channels ensuring permanent contact with the chemicals and the rinse water at the proper pressure.
| |
| Control: 70 sec. |
| |
During the first 70 sec., Soluscope inflates the lid seal, checks if there is enough cleaner and disinfectant and starts the leak test. If everything is OK the precleaning starts.
| |
| Cleaning: 2 min. |
| |
Soluscope fills up with water, injects the cleaner and circulates the cleaning solution inside the channels and outside the endoscope for 2 min. Then, it rinses and drains while the channels are flushed with air.
The basin is then filled up with water.
| Disinfection: 5 min |
| |
If the temperature is below 45°C, Soluscope heats it up to 45°C, and as soon as it has the right temperature, it injects the disinfectant circulating inside and outside the endoscope for 5 min.
Then, it drains, while flushing the channels with air, then rinses two times.
| |
| Drying and printing the validation ticket |
| |
Soluscope drains, blows air in the channels for 1 min, prints a validation ticket and deflates the seal. An audible alarm (that can be desactivated) sounds to tell the nurse the endoscope is ready.
| Total time : 17 min |
| |
The filling, rinsing and heating time depends on the incoming water pressure and temperature. The 17 min cycle is possible only if the machine is correctly installed with the proper incoming water quality, otherwise the cycle will be longer. See installation requirements.
